Francesca Giulia Tavanti

Francesca Giulia Tavanti is an art historian, lecturer and the Programme Leader of the Art Programmes at Istituto Marangoni Firenze. Francesca Giulia started her career in the art system attending a BA in Contemporary Art History – where she majored with Excellency – at the Università degli Studi di Firenze. Soon after graduating, she collaborated with several festivals and Florentine cultural institutions linked to the promotion and diffusion of contemporary art. She worked for the Education Department of CCC Strozzina (Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi, Firenze).

She has been working along with Italian and international artists supporting their performance arts well as with international project dedicated to explore, analyse and promote the complex relations between contemporary art and cinema through films, videos, installations, training projects, residencies for international artists and artist films’ production and distribution
